Strategic Publishing Diagnostic

Before you invest thousands in publishing, spend two sessions fully understanding what you're building.

Most publishing mistakes don't happen at the design stage or the editing stage. They happen earlier, when someone moves forward without clarity on what the book is actually for.

Structure gets built before positioning is settled. Editing gets paid for before the developmental work is done. Books go live before there's an audience to receive them. And once it's live, you can't quietly fix it.

This diagnostic exists to prevent that. It's a focused, professional assessment of your book, your positioning, and your publishing strategy. Not a sales call, not a brainstorm. You'll leave with clear conclusions and a written map of what to build next, in what order, whether or not any of it involves working with me.

It meets you wherever you are.

No manuscript yet? It maps the whole route before you've spent anything, including the most expensive decision in the journey: how the book gets written.

Manuscript in hand? It tells you exactly what stands between what you've built and a landed book.

Already published? It reads the real evidence of your launch and tells you what to build now.

New to this terrain? The free , live, 60-minute Don’t Let Your Book Land with a Thud webinar answers 85% of the questions new authors ask, and I highly recommend the live session and Q&A to anyone considering working with me.

What we examine:

The book, or the book to be: If there's a manuscript, is it structurally sound, where are the gaps, and a straight answer on whether it's ready for production. If there isn't one yet, whether this book is worth writing, what it wants to be, and how it should get written: by you alone, with a coach, or with a ghostwriter.

Your positioning: Who the book is for, what it's for, and whether the way you talk about it matches the way your reader searches for it.

Your visibility and ecosystem: Does your book have a place to launch from and land in? What does your current public presence actually show a stranger?

Your publishing pathway: Self-publishing, hybrid, or traditional, and what actually fits your goals.

Your support needs: Which parts of the route you can carry yourself, and which call for professional hands.

What you walk away with:

A Position Assessment. A direct read on where you actually are.

The Decision Map. Every decision your book requires between where you stand and a landed launch, sequenced, with the closed ones marked closed.

A Support Assessment. What to carry yourself and where to get help.

A Hiring Guide. For every professional your map calls for- editor, ghostwriter, cover designer, visibility partner- what they actually do, what they typically cost, and how to vet one. You leave able to act on the map with me or without me.
