I translate the human story into objects worthy of containing it.
I'm Molly Seabrook, a book designer and educator, and I am Credible.Ink.
I've spent more than twenty years in design, teaching, and message development, including an MFA in graphic design and over a decade of university teaching.
The idea I’ve built everything on still holds: design is not decoration; it's translation.
Why books
Years of my career disappeared into the ether because the work lived on the web. I wanted to give the contribution of my unique and accumulated expertise a more meaningful and substantial place to live. Books stay. Books can change lives.
Who I work with
People who learned something the hard way and wrote it down so someone else doesn't have to. I understand what is at stake when you put that much of yourself into the world, so I lean all the way in. Your book becomes very much mine as well, and my publishing reputation walks out onto the stage with you.
How I work
One person, start to finish. I start with you: your story, your readers, your goals. The cover is where all of that gets distilled, and everything else, from the interior to the ecosystem the book launches into, grows from it. More than 50 books so far.
Author Ship
I'm writing Author Ship, a book about the psychology of visibility and the identity shift that happens when people become authors.
